    Dear Classic Lovers
    This is My First Collection
    I purchased this from a local Antique dealer in Chennai India.
    I my self opened and cleaned the entire lamp, shortly I will organize to lighten up. - Regards

    Seems you've got yourself a nice early Petromax.
    I reckon there had been many Petromaxes being imported into India in the earlier half of the 20th century. You might have heard of Racek.
    Most of the lantern appears to be original. Not too sure about the glass globe.

    Here I have NOT getting orginal Glass for the Petromax. Only local made ( small pieces of glass assembled) only is available

    Although the glass globe is not original, I like the design of these multi-pane globe replacements a lot and they certainly have a definite charm. I would keep it.

    I've seen multi-slatted glass globes before on some lanterns. They are less prone to shattering due to thermal expansion/contraction. Here's a similar, mine, with two halves instead of that:
