Thanks to my good Canadian friend HV @MrAlexxx who helped get this old QL and a brand new Mica from the good Mr. kuntz (- and some elbow grease....) - This old Quicklite is now running rock steady like a dream.

I really like this one - and catch myself now and then to go light it - just because I can ;-))

Well done, your lamp is a beauty. I do love these Coleman Quick Lites. They’re a well built and attractive lantern.
I’m guilty of sneaking off now and then and light one. Sometimes, well quite a few times, I sit with a coffee and watch them running ........ sad isn’t it.
    Cheers
    Pete

One of the best lanterns Coleman ever made, in my opinion. Bullet-proof, dependable, easy to work on, and really simple. You can attest to the durability by the fact these are pushing 90 to a 100 years old and still running! And of course, IDIOT-PROOF!!:D/:thumbup::mrgreen:

@AussiePete There is nothing sad about watching something that you've brought back to life. To me it's one of life's little victories. Now to go and light something.
