Hi all, this must be the first photo of an X246B on this forum! O:)
This photo (sorry for the not so good quality) was taken last summer during one of our nighttime guided tours through Fort Liezele ( www.fortliezele.be ). The groups of visitors are 15-20strong, and get 8 wickie lanterns (hurrycane-type) to light their way through the darkened fortress. I cheated, using my trusty Tilley  to guide them.

    Great stuff!

Speaking of the X246B, they can be made to work much better.

That aluminium pump and control cock are bruck, (rubbish, garbage, etc.,).

So change the pump for a proper Guardsman pump and change the control cock for a proper brass GF.

You can get away with using the modern 606 vapouriser and the modern burner; but I fitted a proper old style brass ended 606 vapouriser and an old style burner.

This vastly improves the light output and i shall post some photos sometime.

Hi Juan, this is what I do in my spare time! Together with other enthousiasts, we restore the fortress and guide people around it. (this fortress is one of a "concrete barrier" build around Antwerp early 20th century to create a 'safe haven' for when Belgium would be attacked by France or Germany. The fortresses were not yet fully finished when Germany invaded our country in 1914).

    Best regards,

    Wim
