I have noticed recently that I no longer receive email notifications when someone replies to a subscribed post or for conversations. I have changed none of my settings or my email address. Could I ask Ross to look into it please?
Hotmail is once again blocking the sites notifications as spam. Our service regularly ask for the block to be lifted but it takes ages & once whitelisted it is often blocked again soon after.
It might be worth looking into adding a DMARC record for the domain. the DMARC record is added to the DNS entry for the domain, but also to the email server that sends out the emails. Probably best to ask the forum software provider for information first, followed by the hosting co. DMARC is an anti-spam thing which basically double checks/validates that the email puporting to come from an address is actually from that address. I get the feeling that Microsoft have been ratcheting up the "spam labelling" of emails from non-DMARC enabled email servers. The issue being that the blocked emails don't even make it to the adressee's inbox as they are stopped at Microsoft.
