The Optimus 1550 with the a riveted, red, enameled top and with manometer in the filling lid. On these late Optimus models you can see how production has been made easier. As many parts are common to several models the tank have only “Optimus Made in Sweden” engraved and the actual model number is found on a plate riveted to the lantern house. Stefan
This is a late variation of the 1550 as it has the Petromax style quick starter. I'm not sure when this variation started, but believe it was in the late 80s. I have never seen any proof for it, but have heard that these parts were bought in from Hippolito.
