Howdy there crew. I was very recently given an Optimus 1551 that has done little to no work at all, but sadly it's globe has been broken somewhere along the line. Where would I be able to locate a new glass for my Optimus 1551? Thanks for your help with this. Cheers Simon
Glass size is 110mm diam. X 155mm high and a plain one will be markedly cheaper than one with the Optimus logo. Base-Camp here in the U.K. have them but postage will no doubt add considerably to the cost so it may be worth your while to look somewhere closer to home. If there's nowhere in N.Z., you could try Camping & Marine Melbourne – T W Sands & Co. At 110mm diameter and 155mm high, the glass is the same size as for Petromax and most clones of both 500 and 350c.p. so if you can find a supplier A plain glass will be much cheaper than one with the Optimus logo.
