    As nice as the Petromax is, No. I want to avail of at least some of the luxuries modern living has to offer.:lol::lol:

    Always great to find a proper use for a lantern. The way gas prices are going up these may yet prove economical to run !

    Very true, it has come in very useful on the site since I started building. I keep the Honda for the big jobs but for small gigs where peace and quiet are welcome, the Petromax is ideal.

    We had a power-cut in my Scottish village but it was during the day so no real point in lighting a lantern
