My new Primus 1082 Høvik Verk.
AR - 1952
Arrived, cleaned and fixed. A stubborn NRV finally gave in and pressure was obtained. Nice looking isnt she? Have to dismantle the vapourizer to se if she has a bottom-valve, as there is a small leak through the jet in closed position.
Looks to be in very nice condition and working well.
There is no valve in these lanterns and the cleaning needle is only that and not for closing off the flow. They are designed to only have pressure in the tank when they are running.
Very nice lamp, I like it . Can you find one for me very cheap of course . Lovely lamp, and I really like the history of the manufacturer. Thanks for showing it to us - Steve.
Thanks for help and comments! No need to dismantle then. More closeups:
Getting an 1082 HV is no problem. Getting one of these from the 50`s however, is a different issue. Cheap - Depends on Your preferences. I can get used, complete, but not refurbished lamps at the eq of USD 87. At Your end there will be the usual p&p, tax&customs fees. PM me if you are interested and I can guide you to various Sources in Norway.
BTW: New ones/unused with quickstarter sells at USD 208
Thanks, PT on its way.
I have not succeeded in finding a copy of the operating manual for this lamp. Anyone that has a link?
Todays update with a newly arrived HV glass
Nice Work Haavar .
The glass really completes this rare lamp .
Very good, Håvar.
A correct glass always lift the overall appearence to an extra level.
