I use Radius 119 for camping for a long time. It performs well so I start to look for other Radius models. Recently I got two Radius 115 at the same time: The left one is used with preheat torch while the right one is unused with complete accessories but no preheat torch. Both have Swedish military crown mark with Red cross in middle plate. with and without preheat torch embossed Radius 115 on the tank After disassembling the used one, everything seems well except the breakage aluminum washer between upper/lower generators. I use a graphite washer to replace original aluminum one. In addition, I found there is a reserved screw hole for manometer. I use an aftermarket one to fit on it. After then fuel and pressurize the tank, the preheat torch works well. Finally it lights up!!
I'm failrly certain we're talking 1940's. By the 1950's I think Radius had gone over to only their Petromax style lanterns with a quick starter, but I have no proof of this. These lanterns are from the Swedish military's medical units. Hencs the three crowns for the Swedish military and the cross for the medical unit. It is quite common to see them with the quick starter removed. It was obviously not very reliable.
