-old style check valve -burner cap brass -the tool required was a set of left-hand threads Thanks to the old Coleman shop for still offering these very old parts Thanks to my friend @Willy (Wilhelm) for the active support
What was wrong with burner caps? Just a mesh? I have exactly the same screw extractor removal set, but have never used it so far. It is good to know that it can handle such a job, because most likely I will have to use it to remove Optimus style check valve. Nice lamp, by the way
The main reason for the repair was of course the leaky valve..Because the slot in the valve was no longer usable ,the only solution left was the tool with the left-hand thread. Replacing the deformed brass burners was part of the general renovation. I'm looking for an exploded view of the Canadian Coleman L 427 because I'm interested in the components inside the tank.
