Good day. Im new to the Coleman hobby and recently acquired 2 Coleman 201 kerosene lanterns.
One in a good working order and another was for spare parts.

Long story short.. i had a 2nd generator on the old lantern that had a broken off needle in the gas jet. i managed to remove the rusty old needle from the jet and made a brand new needle. its been lit up 7 times after and tested. works great.

if any one is interested? i think i would make a you tube video about it.

Ok great. i will post here with a link as soon as im finished with the video.

I thought of taking photos and video while i was doing the repair but then i thought well.. let me see if it works before i get any hopes up.

I did however use my small lathe to do this repair. But at least i can put the idea out there for someone that is also willing to give it a shot.

    Welcome to the forum.
Search the title “A sad Coleman 201” to see how I repaired the cleaning needle.
