I will be offering reproduction guards for the Bialaddin bowl fires. They are made from 316 Stainless steel and brazed with Silver solder and are as close to original as I can get them. Copied from an original guard.

I am asking £25 posted. I would prefer payment by bank transfer as Paypal's fees would make this un-viable.

    Steve.

Ok John, just Gotta wait now, in a hope that he's still active in the hobby [-o<

Members do come and go, and sometimes members just drop the hobby for a short time when other life priorities take over

I do think though, that Steve will pop in soon

    Cheers

For those who were interested in new guards, Vapalux in Korea have them available as spares, they are stainless steel and fit perfectly. Pricey if you're only buying one, but perhaps a group. buy can help by sharing out the shipping, tax and charges.

Or you could ask base-camp to add a few to their next order, I'm sure if there is enough interest they may well do so

Hi all, just an update. Yes been away for a good while. Lost interest in hobbies for a bit. Work, health, life got in the way but things all ok now!
Good chance of some Bialaddin Guards being made soon! I used to Silver Solder them together but this was difficult and very time consuming due to the brazing and cleanup which didn’t inspire production.
I’ve now learnt to TIG weld making the process much easier so I will post another update when appropriate.

    Thanks,

    Steve
