Saroul Lilor 1931

    This is one of my Lilor 1931 table/wall lamps. It has a G. Saroul plaque attached.

    Needs a bit of work. The fuel rod has broken off inside the valve and the pipe to the burner is missing. No doubt I will find other things when I take it apart.

    Don't think this is the original globe as I don't think it would let enough air in for the burner to run properly.

    Shame about the dent :(

    Its a very nice lamp James.
    It was a common plant to use on lampshades from that time. There is a Whole serie of wicklamps with "WaterIris" on the Shades from back then, but your shade dont seem to belong to a Wickie.
    The burner should take enough air from above despite the whirley way the air gotta go.
    I agree with Al. Dents can add personality to a lamp, showing it had a life O:)

    Yes James, you need either a open tulip or a small round globe.
    This globe is for an electric lamp, but the lamp needs to breathe.
    Perhaps it is possible to cut the bottom ?

    You need an Globe Metallique or an open Glass shown in the Pic.
