Stamped 72 on bottom, purchased in 1974. Appears to be made by Coleman. The avocado green never caught on I guess.

That “avocado green” is similar to the colour of the Campway lanterns sold in Australia.

I’m having a bit of trouble interpreting the sales docket. What was the sale price?

The two Avocado lamps are the last of the Special contract lamps Coleman made for Sears. The only Sears catalogue I found this model in and the twin mantle 72243 is Spring 1972 when they were sold for $12.97 and $16.97. ::Neil::

I assumed the "8" was a $ and it sold for $35. Looking closer, it sold for $7.88 + $.47 = $8.35. At the bottom of the recipe you can see where the register printed that number as well. Must have been on sale which makes sense since it was two years after production. Jerry
