Here is my Sunshine Safety table lamp, this company were located in Kansas City, USA..

It's an early twin mantle petrol lamp, I reckon that it's circa 1910, but I do not have a precise date for it, perhaps Neil will have.

This lamp came to me from the collection of the late and much missed Mr John Findlay, Jeff.

I think 1910 is too early. These were not made by Sunshine Safety of course. This lamp is in fact a Nulite Model 10 re badged for Sunshine. It is not shown in a 1915 catalogue but is shown later. Problem with NSE catalogues is the early ones are not dated and it can be hard to tell what year they are. Anyway I can spot this one from company history. Up to 1916 Sunshine bought Coleman product but from 1916 to 1923 they bought in Nulite and Gloria. We know they were selling this lamp in 1923 when they switched back to Coleman so I can certainly say it dates from 1916 to 1923. Not possible to call them any closer than that because they were in production for all that time and there are no variations to help with sequential dating. It is also just possible they sold some of these after 1923 but I have no evidence for that. ::Neil::
