Thanks to the generosity of the lovely Jean, my PL53 project is now getting somewhere!

It just needs a cage and a globe now.

Don't you just love these PL53 lanterns? So simple but still a lovely lantern. It's the only kind, with the exception of one Swedish lantern, my wife will let me light in the house![-X
You should have no trouble finding the parts you need to finish your restoration!O:)

    Colin,

The cage and glass are available from ebay seller juliands if interested but I'm sure you can source original parts but it may require a bit of patients.
Whatever you decide to do it will look and run very well when you are done with the fettle.

    Cheers,
    Norman

This looks to be a good project with a lot of satisfaction especially on its first light.
    Enjoy the fettle.
    Cheers
    Pete
