    Hello,

I have a Thermos Military 252 made in 1986. Granted it isn't vintage, but I haven't seen a 252 made by Thermos before.
I added a preheater because I've heard these don't always fire up very well. The preheater worked pretty well.

    Lantern up and running. Enjoy.

This is not a 252 for two reasons. First is that 252 as a model number only applies to Coleman made Milspec lanterns. None of the other makes have a model number which is why we call them Milspec and never assign them a number. Second is that by 1986 the Coleman equivalent model number for a Milspec would have been 252A. ::Neil::
