    Hi all

I‘m new here and want to show you my latest addition.
I‘m not really familiar with Tilleys but I think it‘s a AL21. Used by the Swiss Railway.
Unfortunately the complete pump and the burner is missing.
Are these hard to finde parts?
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks in advance!
    Pascal

I am ready to be corrected, but I believe you need a pump similar to those in the Tilley X246 range.

My concern is why the pump was cut down and a copper plate soldered over it and what looks like a hole in the back of the tank below the pump?:-k?

More useful advice will follow from other members soon :content:

    Thanks for the reply.
    Here a few more photos..
There is a filler cup instead of
    the pump.
    My question to the experts,
looks the hole for the pump original or
    was it modificated?
I have a 246 Tilley and this pump does not fit.
    Thank you.

    Welcome aboard:thumbup:
That's a great find and it needs a pump like the ones which are shown via the link below and they are common, the burner is less common but they do turn up.

11 Styles of Tilley TL10 etc., pumps.

It seems I found a correct burner for my Tilley. It‘s soon on its way from Germany.
    Still looking for the pump.
I‘ve seen a BIN auction on ‚the bay‘
with a reproduction pump for the AL21. It‘s made in Asia. Can anyone tell me something about the quality?
I would prefer a original but if I don‘t finde one this is also a option.
    Thanks guys.

    @bambulee

Put a Wanted ad in the Member Services section of this website.

Can you put a link to the BIN pump? I’ve found that the quality of the Korean reproductions is ver good; but you should see if you can get an original first.

    Best regards

    Tony

    Hi again.
Fits the pump from a Porkpie
    lantern in the AL21?
    Thanks.

Looking forward to your pictures, and well done Pascal for getting your parts. I reckon hunting for the right parts is half the fun, adds to the overall enjoyment.

    Hi all,
finally I have all the parts toghether and the Tilley works as it should :-)
After it run 1-2 minutes the glass cracks unfortunately!
It looks like the glass was not original and not heat resistant.
    So the hunt goes on...
Where can I finde a glass for the AL21?
    Thanks for any help!

You could try here: Tilley lamp spares
Look for: 604 type Toughened Bullfinch glass to fit AL21 £14.95
I think it may be marked "Bullfinch" but it is the same size as the AL21 glass and it is heat resistant.

    Henry.

I found a original Tilley glass
    on a webshop in DK.
Not sure if it‘s allowed to write the name of the shop here...?
