Hi fellas , i have been working on restoring this AL21v2, i think.
Its been a good project and im very pleased with the out come. Like most Tilleys abit unique, the burner set up, although basically the same principal as all tilleys.
It was in a poor rusted well used condition when i came across it. 20200303_070532.jpg
    It was all there.
    Total strip down 20200304_102412.jpg
The reflector was in good fair condition, heeding advice from the fellas , i washed it in hot soapy water with dish clothand a gentle polish by hand with good old mothers, the reflector has some slight pitting particularly whete all the heat action is.

The body of the light was pitted rust, i grit blasted all the steel parts, cleaned up all the brass bits with my dremel, it all came up well. 20200312_151249.jpg i had kleened up everything.
    20200316_103918.jpg
I used ultra high temp paint, the main body is black, the hing glass cover aluminium and internals. 20200316_104431.jpg 20200316_124020.jpg 20200317_170018.jpg 20200318_062847.jpg 20200318_062847.jpg
And now the money shots 20200318_063116.jpg

    Very cool lamp.
    Enjoy fellas

The burner head looks exactly like it, i did not attempt to pull it apart except for the air tubes, i soaked and pressure wash with carbi cleaner, bristle brushed every hole on the burner , final was in Shellite, complete blow out and a vacume, i just asume the head comes like that.
But when i put a pre tied tilley mantle on it the mantle was a slightly bigger, unlike others that are a tight fit.

The 2 air tube burners are 200cp rather than 300cp.
Can you post some pics of the burner please.

    Darryl

I have a bunch of the 2-arm, 200 cp burners (Tilley and Kayen), but I’ve never seen one with a mixing dome like that. :-k

    Cheers

    Tony

I have one somewhere but it's a long time since I've seen it and I can't remember if it's on a lamp or in my spares box but I've definitely got one.

    Henry.

A very nice fettle. I think it might be a type 1. Not easy to see in your pictures but it appears to have the fixed pricker control instead of a cock and pricker control and I think I can see the pressure release screw which would be on top opposite the pump. ::Neil::

@Anthony as yet, I haven't been able to locate my example of this burner. From memory, it was definitely a two air tube but I can't recall if was on a AL or FL type.

    Henry.

nice work darryl. i like seeing the pics from start to finish on a restoration job.
i find restoration incredibly satisfying, especially when you put all the reconditioned parts back together.
