    image.jpg This lamp has just come my way from another member. I’m guessing a late version of the type? Note the hard rubber grip, original?

    @BigStevie

    Does it have the reflector?

    Technically it’s AL8 with reflector; AL9 without reflector.

    Cheers

    @Tony Press I’m guessing it’s missing the deflector plate from beneath the handle?

    It looks like it. It would be hot on the fingers (and that rubber handle).

    :thumbup:..Nice condition that, Stevie...The black hood looks good...even a lot of the original paint still...There should be a date stamp also?

    @podbros I’ve not taken it apart yet, as assembled I can’t see a date.
    I’ll need to find a pattern for the missing heat deflector plate that sits below the hand grip.
    The paint on the fount is pretty good, the frame is a bit tatty. I’ll make my mind up after a clean as to whether the frame gets painted or not.

    @BigStevie ..No worries..

    If you do a search for AL9a you will see a post about heat shield dimensions...I think they should be the same?

    Good luck :thumbup:
