Here is my example of this WW2., lantern, it consists of the usual steel tank and hanger and the burner's air buttons are also made of steel.

I have fitted it with an almost all steel pump, the pump rod is made of brass and so is the bottom end of the pump tube, as is the part which holds the return valve washer.

I also fitted the military GF control cock, this control cock has a brass knob and the thread which the gland nut screws onto is made of steel, the control cock was originally painted silver grey, but the paint job was knackered.

I have left a little of the original paint on the brass knob.

This lantern's original paint job was that silver grey colour, but it was to far gone so I have repainted it, Jeff.

Hi Jeff very nice restoration indeed will you be getting a globe for it and wire frame as it would be fantastic seeing it up and running the globe should not be hard to find but the wire guard may be difficult well done jeff great work

I have a 182 globe for it and I can make the wire globe holder as it's only twisted copper wire, but I shall have to find some copper wire first, Jeff.

Jeff. Not copper. Those twisted wires were steel. I thought you had some or I would have sent you some. We sell exactly the right stuff in B&Q. ::Neil::

Here are two photos of it lit, I had to hang a KL80 heat deflector above it to protect the ceiling. Jeff.
