    Hi Folks,

I guess this must have been covered previously. I've an early single lip hood off a X246 that's chipped and pitted. Not the worse I've seen, though could look better.

So, as the enamel is damaged, what are the options? Or am I just best giving it a good clean and leave as is?

    Thanks, Stevie

If you are going to use it, unless you get it stripped and re-enamelled, a good clean is the best you’ll do.

I’ve tried many different high temperature paints. They never last long on the Tilley hoods.

    Cheers

Thanks Tony, as I suspected. I leave as is. The hood came my way yesterday on a very battered old X246, it'll be perfect for my pork pie lamp which at present has a two lip black hood.
