    @Andrew T

    A lovely family photograph with a Tilley. Wouldn’t it be great if the lamp was still in the possession of the same family.

    Regards Jeremy

    @X246A Unfortunately I don’t know where it is now.
    I was hoping to see my grandfathers Coleman lantern but no luck there.
    I only got the two spare white letter Coleman Pyrex Brand globes one of which I accidentally kicked and broke.
    It was on the floor next to me while I was working on a lantern.

    My heart bleeds for you Andrew! Reminds me of a fellow member (DG) who found a lovely decorated Tilley shade at a car boot sale then proceeded to smash it putting it into his own car boot.

    Great piece of family history there, @Andrew T ! ...:)

    Are the cards for Christmas at all?

    Actually, I thought that was a record player with a bunch of '45's ??? :-k

    I wonder if the record player is battery operated. If they were using a Tilley I expect there was no electricity. It would have been warm to have the Tilley on in the middle of summer.

    @podbros It does look like a record player. My moms aunt did a lot of needle work so I assumed it was tapestries. I will have my eyes tested sometime this month.
    @Nils Stephenson
    It must’ve been battery operated. It looks like a portable player

    Yes - it is a battery/mains record player. I used to have one as a child (not the same model) I had a bedroom with no power.
