Hello all, I finally got around to restoring my Tilley R1 Radiator, back to her former self, as best as we can that is.
The main reason why I waited so long before restoring this R1 was because I had to enjoy using her for the cold winter.
Now that she has been restored this little beauty will be a shelfqueen.
I believe after a few discussions from members on this Forum that this R1 came out in 1934, or there about's.
I am very happy with the results, but I may be a bit bias though, I will let you decide.

    So here are some photos.
Any comments or thoughts are quite welcome, good or bad.

    As in found condition.

I don’t usually care for the radiators but have taken quite a shine to this one! Nice job Brian.

    Thanks for the photos, Brian.

The brass “B” control wheel on the control cock was replaced during 1934, (see here) so you have a very fine example of an early 1930s R1 radiator.

    Cheers

    Tony

That shine alone is enough to attract a lot of attention, regardless of whether its working or not.
