I have configured this early Tilley wall lamp as an SL-61, this style of Tilley wall lamp first appears in their 1927 catalogue.

When I obtained the lamp, it consisted of the tank and the gooseneck + the feet and the hanger, so I have built it with what I had.

The link below shows photos of how it was when I obtained it.

It's not bad for a lamp which is over 80 years old, it's had a rough life though, but it still holds pressure and the pressure indicator works, it's a working lamp, Jeff.

You have done a good job there Jeff!
It's fantastic to see these old things turn out so well.
80 years! That's not a thing to despise.

Hello Christer, if I still drank beer, I would have one to celebrate the resurrection of this lamp, but I shall have to settle for a mug of tea! :-({|=

Hello Christer, I don't drink any type of booze, I was never that keen on it, Jeff.

 Isn't that some sort of heresy north of the border... ;)

You'll be telling us you don't eat haggis next, Jeff!

Anyway, Happy Hogmanay! (you do celebrate that, don't you... :p )

Hello David, I don't eat haggis, I have tried it and it's revolting!

In Shetland we don't use the term Hogmanay, we say Nuerday. Jeff.

Hello Jeff, Have a very happy "Up Helly Aa" when it arrives. If you do not like beer, whisky or Haggis, please forward all surplus stocks to me, as they will be gratefully appreciated! Happy New Year, and good luck collecting in 2012. Steve.

One thing that I love about the forum is all the foreign phrases that i get to look up. Sounds like one heck of a party! Jeff, do you light a lot of your lanterns?

Hello Al, I could not light all of my lamps and lanterns at once, but I light some from time to time, Jeff.
