That anywhere near Wallamboola Base?

Looks great - especially with an original shade...

 

I’m not familiar with a base at Wollumboola, but I’m about an hour north.

 

I think perhaps that David is referring to a certain radio series Random radio jottings: Flying Doctor calling Wallamboola base

Aha! I was a little confused because unlike Wallamboola, Wollumboola is a real place not far from the Jervis Bay Navy Base.

1958 was a bit before my time sorry gents, but this old Tilley wouldn’t be out of place on an RFDS base. I’ve been to the one at Dubbo - we’ll worth a visit if you’re ever in the area!!!
