Tilley TL 106 (very good condition)

    This Tilley TL 106 is either very little used, or its been carefully restored (see discussion below), or both. It came from the estate of a collector (unknown to me).

    The fact that the paint comes up over and covers the first tier between the tank and handle is not usual for TL 106/136 lamps. This style of paint job is seen on Tilley Radiators (discussion with @Mackburner). It looks like a factory paint job, but could be a very professional after market job (the colour match seems accurate).

    I'll fit it with a 182 globe, and a top insect screen, and keep it a shelf queen,

    A fine looking lamp.
    The condition of the air tube threads on the mixer might tell something about the extent of previous use.

    Threads are perfect on the outside; the main burner body is not distorted; the flamelet holes are perfectly round…

    I’m certainly not pulling the burner apart.
