Hi fellas firstly a big thank you to @Jean J for acquiring this beautiful blue Tilley vase on my behalf. It made the postage voyage from the UK to Australia. I’ve had the vase lamp for some time and like most projects it’s a waiting game. Now it’s complete.
What an added addition to my collection .
The globe is a nice reproduction from Mappio IMG_3211.jpeg IMG_3212.jpeg IMG_3213.jpeg

Hello Darryl, it's a grand old lamp now!:clap::clap::thumbup:
You need the ring which fits around the top of the tank and keeps the tank in place when it's in the vase and the link below shows it.

Glad I could help Darryl. Meant to mention about a brass ring, I’m one short myself but so long as you have something protective in the base of the vase and don’t ever just drop the tank in you’ll be fine. Maybe you could fashion a ring somehow.

Hi Jean, can you please send me a picture detail of the ring, I’m confident I have the skills set to make one.
It is a very grand lamp now thanks to you.
If you like Coleman lanterns I’ll dig out an Australian made lamp for your collection.
I do like the reproduction Mappio globe/shade I picked it out for the lamp long before the vase. Prepare

Very generous offer Darryl, I’ll PM you about that. My measuring skills are on a par with my Internet skills but I’ll do my best with the brass ring or maybe a member reading this would be willing to do it. Jeff maybe? Love that shade too, very exotic bird on it not one we’d see here.
