About 1941 the second version of the E41 appeared. The tank was replaced by a slightly shorter style. E41 tanks have a circular indentation at the top of the tank in which the frame sits, this does not appear on later models. The manometer was replaced by a filler cap which incorporated a pressure release valve, so the separate release valve disappeared. Optimum pressure in the tank was now indicated by a small pressure nipple built into the tank.

This style often carries the goverment crow's foot and the year 1942 on the hood lip.

The inner gallery only appeared on E41 models.
