I've had this lamp for a good while now but it has been on the shelf all this time without a fettle. Why? Well because it is in superb condition with all indications of being fired but once. It's one that was put on the backburner as I had a few serious restorations to do. However it is now done and in all its glory. I am not going to fire it just yet as I want to enjoy it as is for now.

Superb. And that green finish, reminds me of the "Candy Apple" colours which used to be popular in the U.S.A.
Are those inlet ports through the small holes, with the exhaust slots up top under the hood ?
    Thanks. Paul. Melbourne.

Thanks Paul. Yes the brass vents on the hood are air buttons supplying air to the burner. There are slots under the top cap which act as combustion gas outlets.

@R100 I see why you don't want to fire it up just yet. It's a beauty! I have an M1 but mine is chrome. These are a great lantern!
Mine has set on the shelf for years, too pretty to light!

That’s in very clean condition. I got a similar M1 last year, though not as clean as yours, likewise appears to have had little use.
The green hoods just look so good.

I've got Two in similar condition, one has the same Brass fittings, the other has plain fittings. I love the M1's. M1 test.jpg

Although not based on facts (yet) I like to think of the M-1 as the last model W&B introduced. Sure, the difference with the Bialadiin 305-II is only in the detailing, but I do love the old logo in the globe as the most prominent difference.

Wonderful lamp you have there @Johnny19, but I am intrigued by the backdrop: is that a 20-30 ish building?

@M.Meijer Thats next doors Garage! It's a bit higher up than our house, hence the pathway up the steps to our drive. The backdrop is good because it shows the lamps off very well, as its sheltered, and out of the sun.
