Hi, I received this lantern from a fellow Belgium collector. A Uk made Dutch Army lantern. Very similar to Coleman style. But with 350cp a bit brighter than the usual single or doublemantle petrol coleman. Needs pre.heating with alcohol. Needed some minor fettling. The burner grid was missing. But the seller had spares. The needle at the tip of the rod was missing too. I replaced it with a chinese acupuncture needle. Hard solder to the rod. Pump valve was leaking. Needed thorough cleaning. Aftee multiple disassemblies , it now works fine. I decided to keep the rubber seal at the valve. Despite i know this to be a weak point for potential fail if no viton. We,ll see. Lantern is said to be from the 60ties
@bp4willi Well done on Your fettle and she’s looks to be running well. I do like the Veritas lanterns, when fettled they’re proving to be reliable runners. Cheers Pete
