finished for today - cheers everyone
I’m sorry I missed it...
Eh? What? Where?
C'mon pb, do try to keep up - even I managed it in the end...
Ready and waiting! Just seeing if I can manage to upload a photo!
That's nice, Julie...
Bought at Newark a couple of years ago from Mr Ashton. Display only this one though, it's not been lit!
You must have beaten me to it, then! Mine's nice enough but has been lit in the past (though not by me).
Once W&B figured out how to by-pass the failing enamel on the sloping part of the hood by simply missing out that part on the new style hoods, they lasted much better...
To give me a bit more control I'll be moving my main pc into the workshop & hooking onto the wired network & using my mobile as a usb webcam & mic via Droidcam. I'll also sign in as a guest on the tablet for 'outside' broadcasts. Should work - what possibly can go wrong!
Can I just confirm that we will be using zoom and if so, can you send me link to join. Have got Zoom set up so ready to go.
It will be zoom & there will be a link posted prior to the event
If you can, please change your name in your Zoom settings to match your CPL/CCS name so everyone know who you are. The option may be in different places depending on your device.
Will do my best Ross, just hoping my daughter Maria is on hand to assist this aging technophobe.
I believe Ross is starting the session midday (12.00 noon GMT) start...so plenty of time to setup, experiment, add devices, listen on the sidelines etc before feeling confident enough to join in with the chat. See you all there..
Don't worry, Jeremy - we'd recognise your ugly mug anywhere...
Not so! I had to put my hat on before Ross recognised me!
I've set up another thread for photographs, videos and whatever else on the day itself so that we have a permanent record of members' activities - I imagine whatever else takes place on the Zoom video-conference thingie won't be permanent.
I hope it's not too early - it must be almost midnight on 29/30th May on the International Date Line (assuming we have any members living in the first time zone!)
Is this limited to lamps only?
Lamps, stoves and all associated items. Check out Classic Camp Stoves!
Looking forward to arriving “on site” and seeing everyone there.
I may edit that if you don't mind David. The plan was to have a Virtual Newark thread for folk to post pictures in for the whole weekend. It's just the Zoom session that is time limited from noon to midnight on the 30th but yes, Zoom discussion around settings, support etc can be kept here. I will even rename this thread to avoid confusion.
No problem at all, Ross...
Oh, I see you have - and did a better job too!
I've kicked off the proceedings with a couple of photographs I took late tonight...
Separate names with a comma.
