Where to find mica leafs ?

Hi all
I am fixing a Guenet & Abbat n°163 lantern (I think this is the good model !?)
It is currently equipped with 4 glass plates,
I have to redo 4 transparent mica panels (14 cms x 10 cms) as originally
I saw some restorations of this type on the forum
Where to find these mica sheets at an affordable price?

Well you can try Hytta.de or a local smith/stove shop.
Or send the lantern to me ;-)

thanks I had a look at Hytta but the measurements I need are not available
the panels are 14 x 10 cms

 

You may ask if they have larger sizes.

 

Just cut a larger sheet of mica to the needed size.
I use a steel ruler and a utility knife.

Yes I know I can easily cut the mica
But I need 4 panels, therefore as you say, I could buy the 12 x17 = € 14.50 x 4
very expensive
I am going to ask for my right dimensions and see

IMO, thats not bad pricing for mica of that size.
