After changing every washer, spring & the mantle I surprised myself by getting it working!

    Well done Eddie!

I remember looking for a good book or magazine to read with the light I had resurrected for the first time. Any excuse to keep that lamp going!

You should not have much difficulty finding a second lamp, and ....
Yes, go on, we understand

Hi all. I have some sad news. I took Tilley out for a fishing date last night. To my surprise & dismay she has sprung a leak whilst under pressure to perform. Where the silver plate meets the gold reservoir is where the leak is. Is there a remedy or should she be retired gracefully. All help appreciated.

Remove the upper structure and check if it is the seal between the valve and tank.
If I remember well tehre is also an extra nut to fasten the globe cage plate.
So determine where it leaks from.

It may be well be that the washer between the control valve and the tank/fount is old and leaking, in which case they're are easy to fit and available from the Fettle Box. If that's not it, the seal between the control valve and the vaporiser might have gone but the remedy is the same - buy as replacement from the Fettle Box.

    Hope this helps

Am I right in saying once the vaporiser comes off the silver plate can come off & underneath is another washer / seal.
