Yes, so do I. I've got two - one's a user except I rarely do on account of the rarity of the globe and the difficulty of replacing it if it were to be broken. The other's sort of BNIB except the box was apparently stored in a dunny somewhere in the outback for twenty-odd years so the lantern paintwork's suffered a bit. Zero interest in either in the UK, though - can't give 'em away. Mind you, I thought 'Keropet' was a big clue as to what fuel to use so I'm a bit surprised to hear there are petrol versions!
Keropet is a big clue. There were models for kerosene and petrol, therefore Keropet. I totally agree they are great lamps, but the spares are pricey (if available).
I too like these Keropet lanterns. These were made in Brisbane Queensland, and as a Queenslander, its a no brainer that I have a few examples. They're well made and work very well as Darryl can attest to. Cheers Pete
Great feed back fellas. The picture of the lantern has a blue tag being petrol, the generator case is the same, but inside it will have rolled up fine brass mesh, the jet is slightly bigger, you can get replacement globes off the Bay. As for parts i bought lanterns as parts cheap as possible, but in doing this i have discovered that there is a few variants over the years, the pricker rod is had to find, so i have been attempting to make them, with limited sucess. Kero lanterns have Red badge. The earlier Handi's where based on AGM.
Ah, red label is kero and blue label is petrol - that seems straightforward enough! Without checking my user Keropet, I recall it's got a red label which explains why it works so well on kero! It's got to be the fastest priming lantern in my collection - about 20 seconds is all it needs before it bursts into life. Mind you, it was fully serviced by one 'Handi' Albert White before he sent it to me. Or you could find someone in this country who'd be willing to sell you one. I took mine to Newark last year and although I sold lots of other lanterns, I don't think anyone even picked up the Keropet...

From talking to (Handi) Albert and my own observations, I have identified 11 variations. Then there are at least 2 variations of the Swiftlite that you show in the picture. The one shown is the later variant.
Thank you for the insite on hand's, 11 variations, im going to go through my collection and further examine the bits and pieces, what they are made and how they are made. It never ends, this is what i like about our lanterns, and their history
