Can anyone recommend a company that will pick up a parcel from a UK seller to ship to the USA?

    Thanks in advance.

An unrelated side note on shipping... a friend of mine is in the middle of a shipping nightmare over an item purchased using PayPal & shipped by UPS. The seller (a scammer it would appear) did ship a package, but to a different address than that indicated in the PayPal purchase. UPS tracking indicated 'delivered', but when my friend called UPS to find out where it was they told him it was shipped to a different address. They wouldn't, however, disclose the address it had been shipped to. He assumed PayPal would help here, but their position is that a package was shipped and delivered and their case is closed.
He is going to fight with UPS to try and get documentation of where it was shipped, and fight with PayPal to cover his loss, but for now he is without his money or his item.

Try " parcelhero " ... they will quote you and you can easily see the website and it is
quite easy to get a price ..good reviews ..even to USA the people they use are well known here in the UK .. at all costs avoid " Royal Mail " or " Parcelforce " I have had really bad frustrating experiences with those bad boys ..

I've used Parcel2go to ship cost effectively to the States.

I bought some lantern parts from a fellow in the UK and he shipped them with Parcel2go and they were pretty damn fast when it came to delivery! Everything arrived in one piece, too! From my experience it was all good!

Won't the seller arrange a courier then?

Thanks to all for the information provided.

The situation I'm trying to address is a seller that is unwilling to ship overseas but is OK with a buyer arranging courier pick-up.

Maybe someone can collect for you and forward it on if you can't arrange anything, where is it?

Thank you, but at this time I am just looking for recommendations and//or input for future transactions as I am encountering this situation with increased frequency lately.

Yes there are plenty of sellers that are not happy to send parcels abroad, i use Parcel2go quite a bit but i'm not sure if you can arrange carriage from outside of the UK or not, i guess you already know to get accurate sizes and weights or the couriers will charge more plus admin fees etc.
