Finally got around to cutting my last remaining Pyrex cafetier liner down to size so it could go in my latest lock-down fettling project. Apologies to purists, this colour scheme was never a thing (at least as far as I know) but it was made up from random bits and bobs I had lying around and the pricker needle is it even there.... but it works really well! To me it matches the sunny days we're having and looks jolly!
Color scheme is just a matter of choice. In my opinion it can be any combination. Anyway, the bottom part of the frame/collar appears to me like porcelain-enamel. Is it so, Colin?

@ColinG You done a good job on that globe there. I like the sculptured air intake on the bottom rim. Also, I quite like the colour scheme, it looks gay. (in the term’s meaning before the word was hijacked)... Cheers Pete
Well, I bought a diamond wheel cutter and put it in my pillar drill. I fix a piece of wood to the drill bed and grind round and round until it pings and the top (bottom) separates. My set up looks like this... It can take a while and you can't rush or it'll end in disaster. You just have to go round and round and round grazing the surface more each rotation. When it's finished the edge can be a bit rough so I use a sheet of abrasive and rub the newly cut lip in circles until the sharp edges have gone. The coffee spout looks a little wierd but it's great for pouring in and lighting the meths.
@ColinG Colin, Great job, who cares, it's what you like and in the end that's all that counts! I think it's great and your glass cutting set up is shear genius! (God, I wish I was 40 years younger...)
Ahaaa, well... if you haunt charity shops and Goodwill centres you can usually find unbranded coffee presses and cafetiers you can recycle, generally for a couple of £/$.
For what it's worth, another source is plain Chemistry Beakers. They look identical to the glass used in the coffee presses. I'm not aware of the cost, I would think Charity Shops, Op shops and Goodwill centres would be a bit cheaper.
I've looked into laboratory glassware but the prices are way more expensive than buying old cafetiers for the liners. I'm told that in the US you can buy borosilicate glass tubes and cut them to whatever length you need but it doesn't seem to be available here in the UK and if it was, I strongly suspect it would be cheaper to buy replacement globes!
