Took delivery of this 246A with brown hood this morning, all the way from France. She refused to post it when I first enquired about it but relented after a couple of week so long as I took responsibility for any breakages. Well it's here in perfect condition, just a few stains on the paintwork and the gland nut is weeping so will need replacing, also the glass is deeper than my other lamps. It came in the original box with instruction book and lighting torch, it was rather dusty when I got it so I just brushed it off with the hand brush rinsed the fount out put a mantle on it lit it and here's the result. Very pleased with it burns nice and bright, had me reaching for the Ray Bans. Chuffed to bit's.
Not seen it on Gumtree, I first saw this on Preloved about a month ago, I gave her a call and the call was diverted to France. I asked if she would post it but she said no. It was still on preloved about a week later so I sent her a message, and she relented and posted it so it's mine now. Yes Gary, the pump is same as Guardsman, date is May 63. with AX stamped after the date, no one seems to know what the AX is for.

This is the 246A that I got from France, I had to persuade her to post it. Gave it a good clean, bit of spit and polish. It looks really nice, so glad I got it. Did the Money shot in First post.
It was advertised as being in Wiltshire, but I think she moved to France shortly after placing the Ad. It had been on the market for a couple of weeks before I saw it. When I first phoned her the call was diverted to France.
