Looks like I have done it again, I believe I have lampitus for sure, I told my son I won't buy anymore Tilley X246's, but as you all know it's hard to say no, when they're saying please take me home, so of course I had to take them home, so I did.

48 lamps... Total madness... Have you considered counselling?

I have only 9 and a bowl fire. (also 4 paraffin stoves, and six wick lamps) My healthcare professional has made me wear a medical aid that gives me an electric shock if I am within 4 meters of any paraffin appliance that does not belong to me, and monitors my activity on internet auction web sites.

(there are ways around it though, please don't tell them)

I've also got 3 pressure stoves and 3 Alladin lamps, 5 blow touches, and 12 to 15 kerosene wick lamps as well

I'm told that I am just a beginner, so no counseling yet.

    @ROBBO55
Thanks I'm very happy, and a bonus with the extra glass a 171 and a 182, also the vapourises as well can't go wrong as that's great money just there, also they were wrapped in a 1976 paper, and as you can see I have got 2 going with just leather oil, wrapped.

    Lightweight...

I think I had maybe 400 lamps, lanterns, heaters, stoves etc. at the height of my collecting. I bet I've still got 300-350.

Mind you, I went to 'someones' house some years back to do the lamp Haj, as all serious collectors must do at least once in their lifetime. There were lamps and lanterns everywhere, in every room, on the floor, on the walls, hanging from the ceilings, under the stairs, up the stairs, absolutely everywhere. It was Heaven!

How many lamps have you got, ****?
    832.
How do you know that, ****?
    They're all catalogued.
    Oh, right, OK...

We then wandered off through sheds, garages, more sheds, sheds connected to sheds, all completely stuffed with lamps and lanterns.

How many lamps did you say you had, ****?
    832.
Well, I haven't counted them but I think I've seen more than 832 lamps and lanterns today
    Yes, you will have.
Well, how many have you got then?
Don't know, maybe around 1400 or so.
    I thought you said 832.
    Yes, 832, catalogued.

I didn't feel quite so bad about my 'minuscule' collection from then on...

Not to bad a little high, but worth it with all the extra parts, parts alone worth over $180AUD so yes a bargain when you look at it that way.
