Don't know a lot about this one but the date appears as "91076" on the edge of the base. Think it might be 9 October 1976. That's just a "wag"....
It's similar to a Campway Sundowner MkII in appearance.
Box has Made in British Crown Colony, Hong Kong. My understanding it was only sold in Australia.

Oh, yes the lantern appears to have never been lit. Unfortunately, no instructions...

Nomad lanterns were imported into Australia by Companion.

There is some discussion of “Nomad”, and silverfish eaten instructions, here:

    NOMAD

    Cheers

Thanks, I forgot to mention it's printed on the box Model #164, for what it's worth.

That's a nice looking lantern. It also looks very similar to the AshFlash 1022 which was also made in Hong Kong by Unimet.

Apologies for my rather obscure comment above, Colin.

Indeed this style of Nomad seems to be the same as, or very similar to, the Ash Flash 1022, and the Campway 4100.

Made by Unimet in Hong Kong, sold in Australia.

I have what I think is also a Nomad in the style of a Tilley.

That's fine Tony, I read your second post this morning and had to scroll back to the first so I was a little confused but that's quite normal for me!

Unimet were quite prolific and seemed perfectly happy to fill different market sectors with essentially the same product, just changing the name.
