I like this goat. I watch it every year and wish my town did something like this (but with a local flavour).

    @Carlsson

Couldn’t find it through the original Link.

Found it here: The Gävle Goat | Visit Gävle

Great to see it again this year and here’s to it surviving pyrotechnic free!

    Regards Jeremy

Thanks! The original link was obviously changed.
I have fixed the address in my earlier post now.

The Goat is fantastic value - it has become an evening ritual to see how he is doing.

For me it's a morning ritual.
It's always in the late hours that something happens.

He's made it again this year....
They had better arrange us some better pyro entertainment soon or it might become boring!
Only joking, Happy New Year to all, goat included.

Right, let's run a book on when it gets burned - my guess is December 12th...

Me too. Personally, I've no recollection of the event but according to Mum, 1:15 a.m.

Wish I had been more aware of the event Henry, I might have taken more interest in my surroundings as I was born in a Stately Home. Haddo House nearby was used as a wartime hospital and also had a maternity ward.

Luxury. It was the bedroom above the kitchen with the doctor and
and district nurse in attendance for me.

Born in a hospital under wartime conditions. Mom later told me it was very overcrowded. I guess I was lucky.

Click on the link above, Ray (in Christer's post No. 103) and scroll down a bit. The image with the clock at the bottom left is a live webcam which updates every few seconds...

I don't think your guess will be correct, David.
I bet he will stay unmolested this year. His chances for survival are much higher this year than ever, since this Covid-19 thing has reduced the nightlife to practically non-existant.
Atleast the un-planned fire by a spontaneous, drunken 'arsonist' is less likely than usual.

Then thank God we've got a vaccine now and next Christmas we can get back to goat-burning as normal... ;)
