I have recently acquired a Tilley TL14 from I guess the 1940's (I will post a picture later) and I have noticed that the burner gallery has the spring strips inside whereas my later TL136 has the springs outside. Is this correct for the respective periods?
I thought that inside springs were pre-war and wartime, then they changed to the outside springs afterwards - presumably in 1946 when Tilley seemed to get themselves back into peace-time mode and bring out a few new models...
Thank you Jeff and David. I know nowt about the table lamp models other than Mrs R100 likes them so persuading her to smash the piggy bank is a tad easier.
