I bought a 665 from fellow collector Paul Hindley and I remember him showing me this lovely 615. Well he contacted me in October last year to say he was wanting to sell the 615. He didn't have to ask twice.

You have to keep a fairly close on German auction sites and prices have sky rocketed in recent years. I'm more of a stovie so I don't know how its rarity compares to the 615.

There are probabely many more 725 petrol stoves than this very small (100cp) 615 lamp, even if the 725 is far less seen than the 625 petrol and paraffin stoves.
The 100 CP class of lamps was never a big seller irrespective by which maker, and sooner or later dropped by the manufacturers. One good explanation is that people wanted more light for the investment, as a 100 CP lamp was not that dramaticly cheaper to produce as a 250 or even 500 CP lamp.
Your 615 is in a very good condition Robert, as unfortunately the lamp, as the stoves, is mostly made out of steel that easily gets tarnished, like the cage. A good buy imo, even if the price was 'mature'.
Prices for these lamps, (but also for the 725 in good nick and complete in tin) simply continue to rise.

    Hello,
Besides "the evil bay" , Do you know another site where to get parts for a phoebus 615?

    Thanks
