Hey. I think it was Tony Press who uploaded this Tilly drawing where the names of the different parts appeared. I do not have much sense on Tilley lamps. My question is about what is called the INDICATOR. Is it the amount of fuel in the tank you can read there or what is it? Thanks in advance. Tom
Hi Tom - otherwise called the "pip" - when the pressure is correct the pip rises inside the short indicator "tube" to be level. If you look at it and see a recess - it is underpressure. There is a diaphragm inside the tank that compressses as the pressure rises and pushes the pip up. C
I've never heard it called that - here it usually goes by the name of pressure 'tit'. That would save confusion with the rubber 'pip' in the NRV of some lanterns...
