Long ago I relied on my Tilley Lamp for illumination on my gaff-rigged yacht - so it was great when I recently noted the Tilleys on Annies brill video for 'Here comes the Rain Again'. Annie carried a Tilley Lamp for about 25% of the time - a KL80 for near a minute and a X246 for less [they swapped the Lamps around]. Have a look = Cheers
Now that is something you don’t see everyday. What do y’all make of that globe? With the change to the X246 one can only hope that nothing bad happened to that KL80.
Well spotted that man and welcome @Glanerch Well, they had to change to the guardsman as Dave S (Stewart, not Shouksmith) had trouble with his colour contrasting as you can see from the unnatural filums then the battery ran low, the tide came in, water up the leg, etc etc Really nice to see actual mantles glowing away there but I have it on good account that she is a fan of the antiquey lamps?
Goodness me she was beautiful back in the day. As time went by she kind of tried to uglify herself... never understood why.
Here's something else you don't see every day:- Who is the small lad second in from the right on the back row..?
Yup - he was two years behind me at school. That's a photograph of one of the school rugby teams. Dave Stewart (musician and producer) - Wikipedia I didn't know him (or even know of him) so I don't suppose he knew me either! He turned up at a school reunion at the back end of the '80s having flown in from his home in L.A. - as you do, obviously...
David Back to a favourite subject of yours... In what place (city, town, village etc) was the Eurythmics formed? Cheers Tony
Not a clue, Tony - unless it was Great Lumley... Edit: Very good, Tony. Wallamboolie Base to Flying Doctor. Come in Flying Doctor... Eurythmics - Wikipedia
