Hello. After stripping and repairing my FL 6 lamp, fitting all new seals etc. I had to leave it at this stage do to some health problems. Now restarting. I have a couple of questions to ask you experts. First the spring on the pump shaft. Mine just has two turns, is that the norm?. Second has anyone bought one of these and if so any good. I have bought both 5 and 7 " vaporisers from Simon Chant and they are excellent quality. Even come with spare jets and clear assembly instructions. Good luck with your fettling.
The spring is there to stop the pump crashing back into the end fitting on the upstroke, so if the spring still works that should be ok. I’ve got a small box of those springs and they are varying lengths. Tony
