The Coleman Co Inc 7 81, Wichita, Kansas, USA Kerosene I was looking at the lanterns in the workshop and this Coleman 201 was in reasonable condition apart from the rust on the cage and bail. Thought it was time to get it going. The Fettle. When I got the rust off there was little plating remaining. I decided to paint the cage with Aluminium Hi Temp Ceramic paint. The tank was half full with old rust filled kerosene also the Generator and mixing tube were filled with carbon. Note: the coil in the generator was a soft material and didn’t like it when I tried to burn the carbon off (might be aluminium). I had to make a new one out of copper wire. Components. Initial Condition
good work and very informative as I have an old Coleman that's very similar and requires a fettle. how come are you not using the bulge globe?
@Walkop @bonza @Tony Press @JEFF JOHNSON Thanks Gentlemen. Economics. Bulge globes are hard to come by and expensive in any form. The straight sided glass is cheap and easier to come by. If it breaks during the initial trials it doesn't make me cry.
