Welcome. Polish the reflector carefully: First wash in soapy water; then, if there are any greasy fuel stains or soot remaining, clean with off an automotive degreaser. Next step is to use a metal polish like Autosol. With old plated reflectors, this should be a gentle, repeated, process to protect the reflective plating. Cheers Tony
That will take a bit of time to sort out but if you are methodical it'll all come together. Great project and well worth doing, it may be the most economical of heaters to run this winter!! Alec.
Hi Norman I see you have one sock filter for the bottom of one control tap there Sometimes they fall off and can be found sitting in the threaded part in the top of the tank? Always worth checking in there.. Found a few like that good luck with everything regards pb
