    Would anyone have the exact sizing or measurements for globe for a Tilley GL1 general purpose lamp? Looking to get one made was hoping someone could help. Even though I have the lamp and can do my own measurements just thought someone may have them already off an original globe? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    @Tony Press Ah, how I wish I did have a correct glass. When I display my GL1, it's fitted with the mica shade for an AL9 trackwork lamp, it doesn't move about like a 182 glass does.

    Thanks, Henry.

    I saw it was a mica on display, but I thought you just may have had one lurking in a safe back at home.

    I note that @astroboy asked this question back in 2018, with null response, so they must be very rare, if they exist at all anymore.

    Cheers

    Tony

    I wish!

    I can see your train of thought though, it would be most imprudent to cart a correct glass to an outdoor display where a more easily replaced mica shade will do a good job of protecting the mantle.

    I have a GL1 with the Correct glass and would be happy to take some pictures and dimensions. Please contact me directly and I'll be happy to help.

    @astroboy
    I know I had some pictures somewhere - just found them.
    Let me know if you need any more.
    And please let me know if you can find somewhere to make a new globe as I have a GL1 which needs one!
