Hello everyone ! A few days ago a friend came by with a lantern he had found, guess he know just the guy who would take care of it :-) To my great surprise it was a Tilley FL6 Flood Light, Made in Hendon UK ! He told me he found it in an old storage used by a electrical company, the storage was emptied as it shall be demolished, and the beauty was found. He took care of it and gave it to me as a gift ! I have tried it out a few times, and it works very nice and silent, and lights up our house nicely too ! My wife is less impressed. Regards Fred,
Is the pump mounted in the front or the rear of the tank? Most FL6's I've seen in Sweden comes from old stocks sold out from the large power generation and distribution company "Vattenfall" (Actually "Kungliga Vattenfallsstyrelsen" since that was their name back in the fifties when they used this lamp), and they seems to have been specifically made with a front mounted pump solely for "Vattenfall". But since yours comes from an electrical company, it would be interesting to know if they also used this special model only seen with "Vattenfall-lamps" this far.
Hello Mr Carlsson, This lamp was found in a old storage now owned by EON. the pump is mounted at the back. It only has a decal on the front of the fount that says : Tilley Floodlight Projector Made at Hendon, England RD. No, 762129 The glass panels are in three pieces and all are marked Tilley. Frederik
